Mit nur 6,8 kg Gesamtgewicht, einem dreifach-konifizierten Aluminiumrahmen, 140-mm-Scheibenbremsen und einem robusten Hinterbau ist das Hellion 16 die perfekte Kombination aus Stabilität und Leichtigkeit – ideal für furchtlose 4- bis 6-Jährige.

Ein auf pure Performance getrimmter Aluminium-Rahmen

Der Rahmen des Helion 16 ist für reine Performance gemacht. Der dreifach konifizierte Alurahmen bringt die nötige Leichtigkeit – ohne an den entscheidenden Stellen an Steifigkeit einzubüßen. Und das CNC-gefräste Kettenstrebenjoch steckt harte Schläge locker weg.

Die Rahmenrohre sind so konstruiert, dass sie dort besonders stabil sind, wo es zählt – und sonst so leicht wie möglich. Steckachsen sorgen für zusätzliche Steifigkeit und verschiebbare Ausfallenden machen das Bike anpassbar, wenn kleine Fahrerinnen und Fahrer größer werden.

Und weil das einfach dazugehört, haben wir die Züge intern verlegt – bei einem Bike wie diesem keine Kür, sondern Pflicht.

Die Geometrie? Kurz, flach und mit niedrigem Schwerpunkt

Das war die Aufgabe, und wir haben sie verstanden.

Das Hellion 16 ist auf Leistung ausgelegt, mit einer Geometrie, die für Geschwindigkeit, technisches Können und Selbstvertrauen auch an den kniffligen Stellen optimiert ist.

Der niedrige Schwerpunkt sorgt für Stabilität in den Anliegern, der flache Lenkwinkel nimmt steilen Abfahrten den Schrecken. Und kurze Kettenstreben machen das Bike verspielt, direkt – und sorgen dafür, dass Manuals fast wie von selbst gehen.

Ein unkomplizierter, effizienter Antrieb

Kettenblatt, Kurbelgarnitur und Single-Speed-Setup verleihen dem Hellion 16 eine beeindruckende Kombination aus Leistung, Sicherheit und Pedaleffizienz – so konsequent findet man das in dieser Radgröße selten.

Die Narrow-Wide-Zähne halten die Kette dort, wo sie hingehört – kein Schlagen, kein Abrutschen. Gemeinsam mit den verkürzten 110-mm-Kurbeln entsteht ein rundes, effizientes Trittgefühl.

Das Single-Speed-System spart Gewicht und hilft den kleinen Fahrerinnen und Fahrern, sich voll auf Weg oder Trail zu konzentrieren – ohne Schaltung, dafür ganz auf den Moment fokussiert.

Kontaktpunkte, die Kontrolle geben

Jeder einzelne Kontaktpunkt am Helion 16 ist wettkampftauglich ausgelegt – Leichtbau, ohne Kompromisse bei der Performance.

Gemeinsam mit Ritchey Logic haben wir einen ergonomisch geformten Sattel mit feiner Rasterung entwickelt – kombiniert mit robuster Sattelstütze und Schnellspanner. Der doppelt konifizierte Aluminiumlenker ist robust, leicht und so kompakt, dass junge Fahrerinnen und Fahrer jederzeit die Kontrolle behalten.

Ritchey Logic steht seit über 50 Jahren für wegweisendes Komponentendesign. Wir arbeiten seit über einem Jahrzehnt mit ihnen zusammen – und haben dabei einige der besten altersgerechten Komponenten für Kinderbikes entwickelt.

Bereit für Gänge – gemacht für schnelle Fortschritte

Das Helion 16 ist auf die Weiterentwicklung von Kind und Bike ausgelegt. Mit wachsendem Fahrkönnen steigt auch der Wunsch nach einer Gangschaltung.

Deshalb liefern wir das Helion 16 entsprechend vorbereitet – mit separatem Schaltauge, integrierter Zugführung und passender Hinterradnabe, um bei Bedarf einfach eine Kassette mit kleiner Übersetzung nachzurüsten.

So können Kinder das Schalten an einem vertrauten Fahrrad erlernen. Auf einem Bike, das von Anfang an auf Langlebigkeit ausgelegt ist.

Ein MTB-Laufradsatz, der hart im Nehmen ist

Vollständig gedichtete Lagernaben, Tubeless-kompatible, doppelwandige Felgen und eine optimierte Speichenanzahl sorgen dafür, dass diese Laufräder rocken.

Es würde keinen Sinn ergeben, ein so großartiges Bike mit weniger wertigen Rädern auszustatten. Gedichtete Lager halten Schlamm, Wasser und Korrosion fern, während doppelwandige Felgen doppeltes Vertrauen auf Felsen und Wurzeln geben.

Steckachsen machen die seltenen Reifenwechsel zum Kinderspiel und die optimierte Speichenanzahl stellt sicher, dass man sich keine Sorgen um verbogene Felgen machen muss.

Tan Walls – weil Style zählt

Große Abenteuer erfordern große Reifen, und wir machen keine halben Sachen bei der Ausstattung der Hellion.

Egal, ob Schlamm, Steilkurven, Spurrillen oder Wurzeln: Unsere 2,25-Zoll-Stollenreifen bieten Traktion, Kontrolle und Schutz.

Und jeder weiß, dass Tan-Wall-Reifen einfach besser aussehen.

Leichte, leistungsstarke hydraulische Scheibenbremsen

Mit nur 65 g sind die 140 mm großen, hydraulisch betätigten Bremsscheiben ein echtes Statement – denn wer sportlich fährt, muss sich auf präzises und zuverlässiges Bremsen verlassen können. Teilabgerundete Kanten und 6-Schrauben-Befestigung sorgen dabei selbst im Stand für Sicherheit.
Die Bremshebel sind leicht und – noch wichtiger – individuell einstellbar, damit sie auch kleinen Händen perfekt passen.
Statt herkömmlicher Bremsflüssigkeit setzen wir auf Mineralöl – das ist weniger aggressiv, langlebiger und deutlich umweltfreundlicher.

Great bike

It’s the second bike we’ve picked up for my 4-year-old—he started out on the Seeker 14 kids bike, and now he’s riding the Hellion 16 kids bike. He already learned a ton on his first bike, and this one is really taking his skills to the next level.

Honestly, there’s nothing better than hitting the trails together in the Southern Alps France. He’s already sending little jumps, throwing in some drifts, and just having a blast. These bikes didn’t just teach him how to ride, they sparked a real passion for MTB.

Can’t wait to get him on the Hellion X24 kids bike… that’s when things get serious 🤘

What a Machine!

So this is a rather long term review of the Hellion 16 with over 1000km of riding. We bought the bike for our daughter's 4th birthday having outgrown her seeker 14 (another superb bike) which was passed on to her 2 year old brother.

The sales service was excellent and the bike quick and easy to set up out of the box with only a few minor preferential tweaks needed and some ride wrap to protect that stunning purple paint.

Our daughter progressed onto the Hellion 16 seamlessly and her confidence and control instantly improved. We were a little apprehensive about the power of the hydraulic brakes initially, but kids are surprisingly adaptive and they only inspired more confidence and no more complaints of tired hands on long descents.

The geometry is definitely well suited for kids providing stability at speed but yet still nimble at lower speeds. We found with the larger pedals we added it was prone to pedal strikes on flat corners but if anything this helped our daughter's technique for the better.

The stock gear ratio was a good compromise between speed and climbing ability. The addition of a rear hanger and readiness to add gears was fantastic. Thank you Jake for the technical support for fitting gears, this made a world of difference to our daughter's riding immediately!

The quality of the design and build is fantastic, and in the 1000km ridden so far on the bike we have had to do nothing more than clean it and raise the seat height. The bike still sounds and…

Fantastic bike and outstanding service

Our 4-year-old daughter absolutely loves her new Hellion 16.

As a bike-obsessed dad, it was clear she needed a really good bike – and that’s exactly what we found here!

There was a small issue with the crank at first, but the service that followed was truly exceptional: personal contacts, transparent communication, incredibly dedicated and highly competent.

Now our daughter is happily back in the saddle, grinning from ear to ear – we couldn’t ask for more. 😉🚲

Best bike ever

So stoked with the Hellion 16”

Makes such a difference for the kids to have a good bike. We went from a cheap heavy bike to this and our daughter’s attitude completely changed. Suddenly she wanted to bike everywhere all the time having not really enjoyed it that much before.

We live in the mountains so having the disc brakes is also a game changer and can ride the steep roads to school without worrying if she can stop.

Great Early Rider Experience

Amazed by the Hellion 16!

The bike is brilliant!

James is a touch too small based on the dimensions given but he rides this bike so much better than his seeker 14. The bike geometry is perfect for children’s body shape and size, allowing him to pedal comfortably, reach the brakes and control the bike.

The brakes have great stopping power, a big upgrade from the v brakes on the seeker 14.

We have had the bike 2 weeks and James’ riding has come on so much in that time frame!
