Order Cancellation, Right of Withdrawal, Returns and Refunds

1. Cancelling your order before dispatch (voluntary service)

You can cancel your order free of charge within 1 hour of placing it, provided the order has not yet been handed over to our logistics partner. Use the "Cancel order" button in your order confirmation email or in your customer account.

If cancellation within this window is successful, you will receive a full refund, including all shipping costs, within a few business days to your original means of payment.

After the 1-hour window, or once the order has been dispatched, cancellation via this route is no longer possible. Your statutory right of withdrawal (see Section 2) remains fully available.

2. Your statutory right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, acquires physical possession of the goods. For orders containing multiple items delivered separately, the period starts on the day the last item is received.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by an unequivocal statement before the 14-day period expires. You can use any of the following:

  • The withdrawal button available on our website and in your customer account (available throughout the full 14-day period, also after dispatch and delivery)

  • Email to info@earlyrider.com

  • The model withdrawal form provided at the end of this policy

We will confirm receipt of your withdrawal without undue delay on a durable medium.

3. Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the standard delivery costs (except any supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a delivery type other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw.

We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

We may withhold the reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or until you have supplied evidence of having sent the goods back, whichever is the earliest.

4. Returning the goods and return shipping costs

You must send the goods back or hand them over to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal.

You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You have two options:

Option A: Organise the return yourself. You arrange and pay for a trackable shipping service of your choice. We recommend insured shipping. The risk of loss or damage in return transit lies with us once you have handed the parcel to the carrier.

Option B: Use our DHL return label service (optional). On request we provide a prepaid DHL return label. In this case a flat return-handling fee will be deducted from your refund, corresponding to the actual shipping cost:

  • EUR 15 per bike

  • EUR 9 per accessory item

Choosing Option B is entirely voluntary. Your statutory right of withdrawal is not conditional on using our label.

5. Loss of value

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning (comparable to inspection in a physical store). Original packaging is not a legal condition for withdrawal, but keeping it helps avoid deductions for loss of value.

6. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to, among others:

  • Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised

  • Sealed goods unsuitable for return for hygiene reasons once unsealed

  • Goods which, after delivery, are inseparably mixed with other items

7. Statutory warranty (separate from withdrawal)

Independently of the right of withdrawal, EU consumers benefit from a statutory legal guarantee of conformity of at least two years from delivery. If an item is defective, not as described, or does not have the qualities you could reasonably expect, you are entitled to repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund, at no cost to you. 8. Voluntary returns beyond the 14-day period

As a goodwill gesture and in addition to your statutory rights, we may accept returns of unused items in original condition beyond the 14-day withdrawal period at our discretion. This voluntary policy does not affect your statutory rights.

9. Late or missing refunds

If you have not received your refund within the timeframe stated above, please first check with your bank or payment provider, as posting times can vary. If the refund is still missing, contact us at info@earlyrider.com.
