Genauer hingeschaut

Die ganze Geschichte

Kein Verbundmaterial. Keine Kompromisse

10 years strong and still going.

10 YEARS. That's how long we've had ours.

It's seen all three of our kids, and now it's working it's way around the new kids on our street.

It's LIGHT. It's FAST, and it's so much FUN.

It's survived rain, snow, being dropped, knocked over, and even the odd adult who thinks it's fun to play on after a drink or two.

Also, all the spares are available from ER. I broke the bars (teaching my youngest how to ride a half pipe) and ER posted a new pair NEXT DAY for £20, which is a bargain. Amazing!

I can't say enough good things about this bike. If you have a kid who is 3 years old, GET ONE. Don't hesitate, as the re-sale value is high! Cover it with stickers, make it fun and watch them learn how to balance and more importantly, learn how good it is to ride a bike.

Shockingly great bike

This is the third wooden balance bike I've purchased for my now 2yr old. Previous two fell apart quickly. This one has real rubber tires that you air up. He's able to ride on gravel, in the bike park and keep up with the bigger kids. Great construction, sturdy and well made. It also looks cool and he receives many compliments.

A bit heavy for a 2 year old

Ordered the Lite but it was sold out so we were offered the Classic at the same price which was decent (though it took a while to let me know they were sold out after I ordered). Even though she's tall for her age, this bike is a bit too high (almost there) and certainly too heavy for my daughter at 2 years old. I'm regretting not searching for something lighter as she's too big for her trike and I can't see her being able to manage the weight of the bike for a while. Having said that, it's lovely quality and I'm sure she'll be flying around on it when she's older.

Functional, beautiful and durable

We bought ours around 2011 for our first-born. He used it and abused it, and loved every minute of it. Asphalt, gravel, grass, trail, mud... He took it everywhere. His little brother took over and gave it the same treatment, and now our third boy is on the case. It's a bit scratched up, but still looks great. Our boy regularly gets compliments about his bike from complete strangers.
Technically, it's well-balanced and sturdy, stable and easy to steer.

Early Rider or Easy Rider?

Solid build, cool "motorbike" look, instant appeal to everyone including adults and the 18m toddler! And, of course, the eldest (4y old, already biking) jumped on it!

Coolest balance bike

We have had our bike for 8 years and our children have zoomed about with glee. It remains the best gift of their childhood. Our youngest is turning 2 next week and we pulled it out to see if there was any life still in it. The body is as solid as ever but the saddle has split. And that is with some hardy older children having one last go or sitting on it over the years as it was comfortable even when they were really too big.

Is it possible to replace the saddle? We are based in Ireland but didn't see anywhere that would.

If not the youngest will have to get one all to himself! Would be cool if we could just update the saddle - we are sentimental about it!

Classic balance bike.

Not opened the box yet. However bought one for my first grandson about ten years ago and he loved it. So it couldn't be anything less for the second. Not allowed to give it to him till his birthday in May.

Awesome first bike

I bought this bike for my eldest son's 3rd birthday. I went to the Henley shop and had a good chat with the owner of the business who gave some great advice. My son loves the bike, and looks super cool as well. Early on it took a little time for his confidence to grow, but now he tears about the place with great confidence. Transitioning from this bike to pedals will be easy I think. However he's having so much fun I'm in no rush to do that! When I do I'll be heading back to the EarlyRider Henley shop for advice!

EarlyRider Bike A+

Classic style: Great craftsmanship and design. My son Ryder started riding at 18 months, I used the restricted steering for the first month. Then unrestricted ever since. He mastered the bike in less then 2 months. I need to run to stay along side him on the rides, he loves the bike. He is 2 1/2 now and can balance himself on two wheels for short periods. It's an excellent learning tool for balance and bike handling skills. He Asks to ride everyday. It also has a great look, everyone comments and says "that's a cool looking bike". I'm looking to purchase the trail runner next.

Amazing little bike

Honestly I love these bikes. My son has had many happy hours on his. The design and finish are beautiful. The bike is tough and lasts well, ageing nicely as wood does!
I could nt fault it.... Worth every penny

Much fun and a perfect learning curve while looking very cool

We bought 2 classic ones about 2 years ago (early 2012) for our twin boys. They started to use them in spring 2 years ago and the learning curve was excellent. It did not take really long till they knew how to keep the balance on their bikes and going really fast with them.
This summer they really did it even better by speeding up real fast, throwing both feet on the fork and cruising a lot of meters this style.
a lot of other parents who saw us all stopped and watched them riding such cool handmade balance bikes - and told this to us. So they and we had really a lot of fun with these bikes :-)

but now it is time to switch to the next level: we decided to buy 2 belters (16") for x-mas so all the next summers will be a great adventure too...

Balance in style

My son received the classic from his uncle as a gift when he was 1.5 years old. We had to wait till his legs grew for him to be able to balance at first, didn't take long and before long he was off. When we go for a walk the bike has to come, in fact it's more of a jog for me, he cruises quite fast, even clocked 20km down a hill over a speed bump with a big smile on his face! It's such a sturdy bike and wear and tear is like no other! We get comments on the bike all the time, everyone loves the big fat tyres. We can't go anywhere without the bike.... Even comes with sound effects! Brrrrmmm
If only these bikes come in adult sizes, I could cruise around at the beach! Brrrrrm brrrrrm

Why would you .....

Why would you buy anything else! Our classic has lasted 6 years with 3 not so gentle kids and still has life for the next one!! The middle boy would drop in at the skatepark on his!!

Both the older kids moved to pedals with ease, they loved riding this and they love their belters too.

In fact the mummy and the daddy love it so much it's now hanging on the wall .... Yes modern art! waiting for the growing bump to be a living, breathing, bike riding toddler!!

brilliant introduction to cycling

I got these for my twins when they were 2. After a couple of months admiring the bikes (and show), it took weeks for them to be zooming around the park. By 2.5 they were commuting to nursery by bike with me running alongside and noticed by everyone. A very sturdy bike even with two boys testing them to the extreme. Down hills and into walls (intentionally). Through puddles and any thing else that was in the way. With a long list of friends wanting the bikes once the boys had outgrown them. The customer service was first rate as well.

Best money I've spent

Where to start! A well made balance bike with style and class that has taught my son a life skill.

The classic is a quality product, that turned heads every time we went out on it.

My son quickly got the hang of it from the age of two, and his confidence grew every time he used it.

He went from balance bike to peddle bike seamlessly at the age of three and a half, no stabilisers.

Recently his class at school had a learn to ride day and he was far away the best there - I put this down to the confidence and skills he learnt on his classic.

As the title says, the best money I've spent!
